Pre
- Allow 1-4 weeks between other skin treatments to have a facial performed (please refer to your skin specialist on exact recommendations).
- Avoid exfoliating (physical scrubs, AHA/BHA, retinol) 24 hours before facial.
- Avoid facial shaving 24 hours before (this is a form of exfoliation).
- Bring notes or pictures of current skin care routine and products being used.
- No tanning (ever) but especially 24 hours before.
- Please reschedule your appointment if you have skin peeling, a skin infection, a rash or sunburn on your face.
Post
- Avoid exfoliating 24 hours after your facial.
- Avoid tanning or direct sun exposure at least 24 hours after.
- Re-apply your SPF every 2 hours throughout the day and especially in direct sun.
- Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours after. Sweating can be stingy :)
- Skip your “actives”/treatment products (retinol, AHA/BHA, masks, scrubs) the day of your facial. We did this for you!
- After 24 hours, you may resume your normal skin care routine.
- Schedule your next facial in 4-6 weeks to maintain optimal skin health!
