Frequently asked questions

Botox + filler questions, answered.

Clarity builds trust. Here are honest answers to what people ask us most about injectables, skin treatments and pricing in Saginaw, MI.

The big worries

Will I look frozen or fake?
Not with my approach. I start conservative, keep natural movement, and we follow up once your results settle, so we can add a little if you want more. It's much easier to add than to take away, so that's how we work.
Does Botox or filler hurt?
Most people describe Botox as a quick pinch. For filler and microneedling we use topical numbing, and most fillers also contain lidocaine. If you're nervous, tell me. We'll go at your pace.
Who will be doing my injections?
Every injectable is performed by Kari Sullivan, FNP-C, VIVE's founder and a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Kari has been a nurse since 2010, a nurse practitioner since 2018 and has specialized in aesthetics since 2020, with advanced injector training, and our whole team recertifies in every treatment we offer each year. Before VIVE, she worked in the NICU, neuro step-down, endoscopy, pulmonary, pain management and nursing education. You'll see Kari every visit.
Is it safe?
We use only FDA-approved products purchased directly from authorized distributors, follow medical-grade sterile technique, and screen your health history at every visit. Serious complications are rare, and we have protocols in place to handle them right away.
What if I don't like my results?
That's what your follow-up is for. Botox can be adjusted, and most hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if ever needed. You won't be left on your own.

Pricing + booking

How much does Botox cost in Saginaw?
Botox and Dysport are $13–14 per unit. Most first-time forehead and frown-line treatments use about 20–40 units total, and you'll know your exact total before anything happens.
How much is filler?
Dermal filler starts at $700, and Sculptra starts at $900. Lip filler can be done at your first visit. For facial filler (cheeks, chin, jawline, under-eyes) and Sculptra®, which are bigger commitments, we start with a free consultation to build a realistic plan, and treatment happens at a follow-up visit. The final cost depends on how much product your plan needs, which we'll go over before you're treated.
Is there a membership?
Yes. VIVE Monthly is $175 a month (3-month minimum) and includes a HydroDiamond or VIVE Essential Facial every month (or that credit toward an advanced skin treatment in your plan), 10% off every in-studio product and service (including injectables), member-only pricing, a birthday treatment, members-only evening hours (Tuesday – Friday, 4 – 6 pm), a personalized gift and celebration event every quarter, and a free skincare bundle at your first member appointment. Join VIVE Monthly here.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Yes! We offer payment plans through Cherry, so you can split the cost of your treatments into smaller payments. Check your Cherry payment options here. It only takes a few minutes.
Do you have evening appointments?
Yes, for members! VIVE Monthly members can book any time we're open, plus members-only evening hours Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 6 pm, so you can fit your facial or skin treatment in after work. Evening appointments aren't bookable online, so members call or text us at 989-467-3799 to schedule. Injectable appointments with Kari are available until 4 pm. Join VIVE Monthly
What is a good faith exam, and why do I need one?
Chemical peels, microneedling and Aerolase® laser are medical procedures delegated by a licensed medical provider, so your first step is a complimentary consultation and good faith exam with Kari Sullivan, FNP-C, done in person at the studio. She'll review your health history, look at your skin and decide whether the treatment is safe and right for you. If it is, she'll create your plan, and our licensed estheticians will perform your treatments from there. Consultations with Kari are available until 4 pm. Once your exam is on file, you can book these treatments online like any other service. It's one more way we put your safety first. Prefer to just talk it through first? You can also book a standalone complimentary consultation.
What if I'm not a good candidate?
Then Kari will tell you honestly and recommend what will work for your skin instead, whether that's a different treatment, a skincare plan or simply waiting until your skin is ready. The consultation is free either way.
Do you treat men?
Absolutely! Men are welcome at VIVE. Botox® and Dysport®, filler, facials, SkinPen® microneedling and Aerolase® (including for razor bumps and ingrown hairs) are all popular with our male clients.
Can I combine treatments on the same day?
Yes! We'll always schedule them in the right order: Aerolase® laser first, then your facial or skin treatment, then injectables last, so your results stay right where Kari places them. Injectable appointments end at 4 pm, so same-day combos need an earlier start. If you book both online, our team will confirm the order with you.
Can I walk in?
We're an appointment-only studio, so please book ahead online. Need help finding us when you arrive? Just call or text us at 989-467-3799.
Are you taking new clients?
Yes. New clients can book online any time. Not sure which service to pick? Book a complimentary consultation with Kari, or call or text us at 989-467-3799 and we'll point you in the right direction.
What's your cancellation policy?

Your appointment time is thoughtfully reserved just for you. Because we value both your time and our team's, we kindly ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel. This lets us offer that time to another client who may be waiting.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, are subject to a cancellation fee charged to the card on file. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without letting us know is considered a no-show and is also subject to a fee.

Thank you for understanding. This policy helps us keep providing the attentive care and experience you deserve.

Before + after

How long does Botox last?
Usually 3–4 months. Most clients come back two to four times a year, and some find results last longer with regular treatment.
How long does filler last?
Lip filler typically lasts 6–12 months. Cheek and jawline filler often lasts 12–18 months, depending on the product and your metabolism. Sculptra results can last up to two years.
What's the difference between filler, Sculptra and PRF?
Filler adds volume right away in a specific spot, like lips or cheeks. Sculptra stimulates your own collagen gradually over a few months for overall restoration. PRF uses your own blood's growth factors to refresh under-eyes and boost healing after microneedling. We'll help you pick the right one, or the right combination.
Is there downtime?
Botox® and Dysport®: minimal, with possible light bruising. HydroDiamond and VIVE facials: none. Dermaplaning is gentle too, with no downtime. Filler: some swelling or bruising for a few days. Microneedling: pink skin for 1–3 days. The Perfect Derma™ Peel: an orange tint on day 1, tightness on days 2–3, then peeling from about day 3 to day 7. We'll help you time it around events.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid alcohol, fish oil, ibuprofen and aspirin for 24–48 hours before injectables if your doctor says it's okay, to reduce bruising. Come with a clean face if you can. If you have an event coming up, book at least two weeks before.
Can I buy ZO® products online?
Yes. VIVE is an exclusive ZO® Skin Health provider, and you can shop ZO® online through our link any time. Buying in the studio has perks: VIVE Monthly members save 10% on every ZO® product purchased in-house, and Kari can build a regimen for your skin while you're here.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Your first visit starts with a free, in-person consultation and good faith exam with Kari. Most clients are surprised by how comfortable it is. We use the Aerolase® laser, which is designed to be comfortable without numbing and safe for all skin tones. Most people feel only light warmth. VIVE is the only place in Saginaw offering Aerolase®. We treat the face, neck, hands, underarms, lip and chin, and most people need a series of sessions for the best results.
Can I get Botox if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We don't perform injectables during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Some gentle facials may still be an option, so just ask.
Where are you located?
We're at 6137 Tittabawassee Rd, Suite 3 in Saginaw, MI, and we see guests from Bay City, Midland, Frankenmuth, Freeland, Birch Run and the surrounding Great Lakes Bay Region.
